Each kind of brake has its pros and cons. Premium brake pads are made out of top quality materials. They are good at delivering the shortest braking distances, are less likely to wear under hard braking, and offer the longest possible brake life; howver, they can sometimes be noisy. Economy brake pads are made of softer materials, so they are quieter, but they wear more rapidly, deliver longer stopping distances, will fade causing even longer stopping distances under hard braking, and cause brake dust which can accumulate on wheels and tires. Ceramic brake pads are made of premium quality materials and produce less brake dust.
